Maharaji (aka Prem Rawat)

Prem Rawat, known to many as Maharaji, speaks with simplicity about our innate need for happiness. He presents a practical way for individuals to enjoy a natural source of contentment within themselves, which can be felt irrespective of circumstances or lifestyle.

I was first introduced to the teachings of Maharaji from my older brother when I was around 9 years old. He used to go to the weekly meetings, called Satsang back then, in the city and take me and my other brother with him. We would first go to the meeting then he would pay for about an hour at the video arcade afterwards, so of course we loved going. At first I remember always looking at the clock waiting for the meeting to finish so we could get to the arcade. But as the weeks went on I asked more questions and started to listen. It was fairly interesting, a few people would take turns in getting up to th microphone and just talk about anything that was in their hearts, just as Maharaji does. Those types of meetings don’t exist anymore, they have video presentations of recent talks Maharaji has done around the world. I’m fairly certain you can find a group that does that in just about every city in the world. It’s always free but donations are appreciated to help pay for the hall ect.

I just love the simplicity of it all. He just speaks basic truths about life and the heart and offers a practical way to quench the thirst you have felt your entire life. He calls it Knowledge. Previously you would have to have to wait until he was in your area and ask to receive Knowledge but things have changed. He now has a process called The Keys which are 6 DVD sets, 5 which prepare you for the gift of Knowledge and the 6th being Knowledge itself. I am up to Key 3 and have moved countries so will have to find out where I get the next Key from.

He doesn’t give you anything except for a way to look within and find the answers that have always been there. I could talk about this for hours but you should experience it for yourself. Everyone will have their own relationship with Maharaji and his teachings, it’s a completely unique journey, just for you. I have listened to hours and hours of him speaking on tape, CD and DVD and it most definitely helps me feel calmer and to realise whatever I am looking for is and has always been inside of me.

Auras

The Aura extends from the body by some 2-3ft in all directions. This field also extends above the head and below the feet. It is a field of subtle, luminous radiation surrounding a person or object like the halo (see above image).

Anyone has the ability to see their own however to do it properly takes time to master. I had my Aura photographed at a Mind Body Spirit convention in my home town which showed me with a lot or red around my head area. I got a printout of what all the different colours in the different positions meant. There was a time when I was staring in a mirror and I could see a glowing halo around the right side of my head. I concentrated hard and it got stronger but I could never see it on the left side, not sure why.

Each color of the aura is supposed to have a precise meaning, indicating a precise emotional state. There is basic structure, which may be representative of an individual’s character, which remains fairly consistent. But as the aura reflects our health, emotions and even our spirituality, these are of course subject to change.

RED: lifeforce, survival, raw passion, anger, frustration, menstruation, determination, sense of importance, feeling overwhelmed by change

ORANGE: sensuality, physical pleasure, emotional self-expression, creativity, lacking reason, lacking self-discipline, health, vitality

YELLOW: mental alertness, analytical thought, happiness, optimism, child-like, ego driven, thinking at expense of feeling

GREEN: healing, peace, nurturing, new growth, fear, need for security, jealousy and envy, balance

BLUE: verbal communication, freethinking, relating to structure and organization, emphasis on business, male energies, sadness, possibilities

PURPLE: wisdom, authoritative, female energies, matriarchal, sense of superiority, controlling, imagination, intuition

BROWN: grounding, down to earth, practical, male energies, invalidating, emphasizing body and denying spirit, feeling worth-less

BLACK: issues relating to death, hatred, lack of forgiveness, unresolved karma, dark intentions, shadow games, needing compassion for self

PINK: self-love, tenderness, female energies, gay energies, emphasis on physical appearances, being ‘nice’ at expense of being ‘real’

WHITE (CLOUDY): New Age or religious energy, lacking consciousness, a cover-up, denial, being ‘good’ at expense of being ‘whole’

WHITE (CLEAR LIGHT): very high spiritual vibration, godly, divine, inspiration, seeing spiritual big picture, compassionate

GOLD: high spiritual vibration, integrity, respect, freedom, clearseeing, integrating spirit and body, creating as spirit

About the Ouija Board

Ouija Board correctly pronounced “wee-jah” but also often pronounced “wee-gee” (this is how I say it). Is any flat surface printed with letters and numbers, to which a movable indicator points, supposedly in answer to questions from people at a séance. The fingers are placed on the movable indicator (usually a glass) which then moves about the board to spell out messages. Ouija is actually a trademark for a “talking board” sold by Parker Brothers.

Does it work?

YES. I have played around with the Ouija Board quite often but I haven’t used it for some years now. When we where kids, my cousins and I used to have a séance often and call the “spirits of the room” to come and speak to us. My cousin’s house was pretty scary at the best of times and my Aunty saw and spoke to spirits quite often. We always got some spirit who would want to talk with us on the board. It would always work so much better when a certain cousin would put her fingers on the glass, like she was a channel or something. Sometimes the messages wouldn’t make sense or it seemed like a complete lie. The spirits like to play games. Sometimes there where pretty profound statements and even scarier was when we asked the spirit to move something in the room and it would happen, usually something small like a book falls off a bookshelf ect.

About Telekinesis or TK

I’ve always been fascinated with the power of the mind, “mind over
matter” and what that can achieve. Therefore when I heard about the subject
of Telekinesis I was intrigued. This is when you can a person can move objects
with just thought alone.

My brother saw someone levitate once which is pretty much in the same category
at TK. Also some people on my Vision Quest retreat knew people that could move
objects with their mind. One said they saw someone just reach out for their
coffee mug and it would come to them. I needed to know more about this subject
and be able to do it myself.

I studied it for a while from books and information from the internet but it
took a long time and a lot of patience but I finally got there. First I made
a Psi Wheel to test my abilities. A Psi wheel is pyramid-shaped top-like device
consisting of a small piece of paper or foil balanced on the tip of a pointed
object such as a pin.

Use your mind power to turn the foil (wheel) around on the pin. In the early stages, it really doesn’t matter which way it turns. Try to turn it one way for a while and if that doesn’t work for you then try to turn it the other way. You are to try and become one with the item. Visualise your minds energy down to the cellular level and see it mesh with the cells of the foil wheel and make it turn.

Well I wasn’t sure how to do that exactly but I got a clear mind and focused all my energy on the wheel for a very long time. You have to be careful not to breathe too heavy while doing it as that will cause the wheel to move. It didn’t work the first or even fourth time for me but I persisted and finally I got the thing to move! It felt great that I actually made something move by thought alone! For the next probably 20 minutes I had fun moving it one way, slowing it down then moving it back the other way.

I haven’t been able to get anything bigger to move. I’m sure I could if I had the time and the patience for it but my time is kept busy with other things.

About Colour Therapy

I have personal experience with Colour Therapy. I had pretty bad bronchial asthma as a child and my Mum took me to many Doctors but nothing worked. Her last resort was to take me to a Natropath who gave Mum a box with coloured threads in it and also something to put under the house and make it point north. Mum thought he was off his tree and was like Witchcraft but she of course wanted to try anything to help me. I was supposed to look into the coloured lights when going to sleep. I never had to be reminded as I could tell it was working and had the thing with me all the time. The Natropath said there was water running under our house and a while later when Dad was digging under there he found what appeared to be some sort of under ground stream. Weird. Anyway the details are a little scetchy as it happened over 25 years ago but I know it cured my asthma.

The use of Colour as a Therapy is a truly holistic, non-invasive and powerful therapy which dates back thousands of years; evidence of this can be found in ancient texts from India, China and Egypt.

Colour is simply light of different wavelengths, and each colour has its own specific wavelength and vibration. These wavelengths resonate with energies in different areas of the body.

As we absorb colour energy not only through the eyes but also through the skin and the electro magnetic field or aura, Colour Therapy can be used on the body in a number of different ways.

What are Angels and Spirit Guides?

Some people believe that we do not walk alone into the next life. With you walks your greatest friend, your guardian angel who was with you when you were born into the physical world, is with you now and will be at the end of your earthly life. That thought is very comforting to me.

Theosophists call them “devas”, the Indian Yogis refer to their “masters,” the Christian Church speaks of Angels while Spiritualists refer to them as “guides” or “helpers”. Other schools of thought talk about “higher consciousness” or the “higher self”.

Traditionally spirit guides were often stereotyped ethnically, with Native Americans, Chinese or Egyptians being popular for their perceived ancient wisdom, saints, or enlightened individuals. Nevertheless, the term can also refer to animals or totems, controls, angels, or nature spirits.

According to theosophical doctrine, spirit guides are persons who have lived many former lifetimes, paid their karmic debts, and advanced beyond a need to reincarnate. Each is assigned to watch over an incarnate person, not only on this Earth, but on many other planets throughout the universe. Many psychics believe that spirit guides are chosen on “the other side” by us and God(s) before we incarnate and that they guide us to follow our life’s plan because we want them to.

What is Wicca all about?

When you think of Wicca you may think of the "dark side", Witchcraft or the Occult. It always seemed to be associated with the Emos of Gothic people. I used to fear it but that was before I understood it.

Contrary to what some whish to believe, Wicca is a very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of thinking and life which promotes oneness with the divine and all which exists.

Wicca is a pagan, nature-based religion popularised in 1954 by Gerald Gardner, a retired British civil servant, who at the time called it Witchcraft and its adherents "the Wica". He said that the religion, of which he was an initiate, was a modern survival of an old witchcraft religion which had existed in secret for hundreds of years, originating in the pre-Christian paganism of Europe.

Rather quickly, splinter groups began forming, or "hiving off," resulting in myriad "traditions" or "trads" within Wicca and Neopaganism in general. Many books that have been published in the last fifty years (see Llewellyn, Weiser, New Page) are about Eclectic Wicca and becoming a magical practitioner. Gardner mingled theology and magical science in his tradition.

Wiccans believe that the spirit of the One, Goddess and God exist in all things. In the trees, rain, flowers, the sea, in each other and all of natures creatures. This means that we must treat "all things" of the Earth as aspects of the divine.
